Before and After care
Pre-Wax
Waxing Do's
-
Do wear loose-fitting clothing to your appointment to avoid irritation to the freshly waxed area. Cotton underwear is recommended.
-
Ensure clean skin before your appointment.
-
Make sure the majority of the hair to be waxed is at least ¼ inch long (like a grain of rice). For best results, wait at least 2-4 weeks (with a minimum of 2 weeks) since your last shave before waxing.
Waxing Dont's
-
Absolutely no harsh products for 48 hours e.g. salicylic acid, glycolic acid, AHA & BHA products, or retinol. It could cause extreme discomfort, irritation, lifting, and peeling of the skin.
-
Avoid caffeine or alcohol two to four hours before your appointment.
After-Wax
Waxing Do's
-
Exfoliate and moisturize with non-scented cream or oil regularly to help prevent ingrown hairs.
-
Use aftercare products that we recommend you to heal and nourish your skin.
-
Do pre-book your next wax appointment every 4-6 weeks.
Waxing Dont's
-
For the first 24-48 hours, avoid activities that will cause sweating (e.g. exercising, intimacy, tanning beds, etc.).
-
Do not shave between appointments.
-
No hot tubs, pools, saunas, hot baths, or showers as they could irritate your freshly waxed skin.
-
Avoid long sun exposure as it could cause you to burn more easily and create uneven skin tone.
